Privacy

Short version: your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

What happens to your files

Every tool on TuckPDF runs as code inside your browser. When you turn photos into a PDF, merge, split, compress or sign a PDF, your browser reads the file from your device, does the work and saves the result back to your device. Your files are not sent to our servers or to anyone else, and we have no storage for them.

PDF pages are drawn with pdf.js and changed with pdf-lib, both running in this page. iPhone HEIC photos are read by your browser, or by a HEIC decoder that loads into the page when needed. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and use any tool. No request carries your files.

Signatures

A signature you draw, type or upload is made in your browser and placed on your PDF there. It is not saved: when you close the page, it is gone.

What we store

Nothing from the tools. The site has no accounts. The only cookies are Google Analytics', described below.

We count how often each tool is used. No cookies, nothing about you or your files. When a tool finishes, or you download a result, the page sends our own server only the tool's name, what happened (run, download or error) and how many files, never a file, a file name or anything in it. If anything else is ever collected (for example ads), this page will say exactly what first, and your files will still never be part of it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. We send these events: pages visited; which tool was used; that a tool made its result or showed an error; that a result was downloaded; and that a long job (compress, photos to PDF, merge) finished, with how many seconds it took, or was cancelled.

They never contain your files, file names, file sizes or anything inside a file. Google also collects standard data such as your browser, device and approximate location from your IP address, and sets cookies to tell visits apart. See how Google uses this data.

Visitors in Europe are asked first, and Google Analytics is not loaded unless they accept. Everyone can turn it off with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and block abuse; it never receives your files. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
